Title Checker

Title Checker

A Title Checker report is a concise summary of a property’s ownership and use, prepared using Land Registry records and the relevant sections of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) Handbook Parts 1 and 2 (where the lender is identified).

The report identifies any elements of a property’s title that require attention and, where possible, suggests a solution that will allow the purchase transaction to proceed.

Presented in an easily digestible and understandable format, a Title Checker report can save a client time and money by automating title investigation, while assisting with due diligence.
